MVRC Textbook Lending Library

Due to the generosity of our donors, we have been able to build a robust textbook library for our military-affiliated students.  Textbooks are lent to students until the last day of finals at no charge and then must be returned to MVRC.

Instructions

Join our group on the Pirate Experience for access to our library–this is also how you will be notified of events.

After your membership is validated, you will need to become a patron of our library.  Fill out this form so we can create an account for you: https://cglink.me/2wh/s605

You will login with your banner id once we have created your patron account.

You may now search our catalog, place holds on books, or request that we purchase books that we don’t currently have.

If you find a textbook you would like to use, you must place a hold on the item to ensure we know to pull it from the library.  To do this click on the title of the book, which will bring you to the catalog page.  You will be able to see if the book is available for rental.  If we have an available copy, click on “Place Hold” which will be a red button under each copy.

We will get an email notification and pull the textbook, then we will email you and let you know that it’s ready for pickup.

You must pick up the requested items within 3 business days or it will be returned for circulation to other students.

When picking up the books, you will fill out our textbook lending form and we will check the book out to you.

Books must be returned by the last day of finals or fees may be assessed to your student account.

Our office can not guarantee we will or are able to purchase every book requested, but we will seriously consider each request.  Requests will be considered until the first day of classes for each semester.
